The Evolution of the Solomon Family
Who would have thought the birth of two individuals would create such a legacy that continues to grow today?
The birth of Emerson Solomon in 1878 (passed in 1972) and the birth of Roberta Hunter Solomon in 1889 (passed in 1979).
Their union produced four children...
~ Margaret married James Mason and had a daughter,
Ramona Solomon Battle.
~ Wilbert G. Solomon married Susie Bates and had four children, William, Curtis, Alphonso, and Irma Lynch.
~ Katie married James Mitchell on January 12, 1943, and had two daughters, Marilyn Solomon Pittman and Vertie Battle-Silver.
~ Bartholomew Solomon married Coolidge Solomon and had four children, Maxine Solomon-Bunkley, Elaine Dickens, Elmore, and Luther.
The Solomon story begins in Enfield, North Carolina with the marriage of Emerson and Roberta. Today, 147 years since the birth of Emerson, while the branches have spread across the country, the Solomon family's roots remain established in Enfield. This year we gather back in Enfield to celebrate the Solomon Family Dynasty.
